Type For Me — Privacy Policy

Summary

Type For Me does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data to Eligapris servers.
Draft text and preferences are stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage.local.
Core typing does not call remote APIs, analytics, or ad networks.

Data stored on your device

When you use Type For Me, the extension may save locally:

Text you paste or enter to be typed
Typing speed and human-like rhythm preferences
Pause / continue offset so you can resume mid-stream
UI preferences such as auto-start on paste

This data remains on your device. Uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage removes it according to your browser.

How data is used

Local storage is used only to:

Remember the text and speed you configured
Resume typing after you pause
Remember UI preferences

Permissions

Type For Me requests the following permissions:

`activeTab`	Access the tab you are using when you start typing
`scripting`	Inject packaged typing helpers into the active page
`contextMenus`	Show “Quick Typing” in the right-click menu
`docs.google.com`	Enable typing into Google Docs’ text-event iframe
`<all_urls>` (content scripts)	Type into editable fields wherever your caret is; no upload of page content

Remote code

Type For Me does not fetch or execute remote scripts. All JavaScript ships inside the extension package. The scripting API only injects those packaged files.

Third-party websites

The extension types into pages you visit. It does not change how those sites collect data. Refer to each website’s own privacy policy for site-specific practices.

Updates

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at https://eligapris.com/type-for-me/privacy and reflected in extension releases.
