Drop a photo, video, PDF, or document and see what it's quietly carrying: where it was taken, which phone made it, who wrote it, and whether it says it's AI. Read on your device, removed in one click.
How it works
Photos, videos, PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and audio.
Location on a map, device, dates, authors, prompts, and AI credentials, in plain words.
One button downloads a clean copy with all of it gone and the content untouched.
Why use it
If a photo records where it was taken, you'll see the spot. The map is drawn on your device, so no map service sees it.
We show what the file declares (C2PA credentials, Google AI labels, embedded prompts, the Gemini ✦) and never pretend to detect what isn't there.
Not a wall of EXIF tags. The things that matter for privacy come first and are highlighted.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files show their authors, company, editing time, and the software that made them.
Seen enough? Remove all of it and download a clean copy in one click.
The file is read in your browser. We never see it or what's in it.
Metadata Viewer runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, so there's nothing for anyone to keep, leak, or train on. We count anonymous usage (file name and type, what kind of data was found, browser, and IP) to keep the tool improving. We never see your files or what's inside them.

Drop it above. You'll get the location, camera, capture time, software, and authorship stored in the file, if any.
Yes. Phones often store exact GPS coordinates in each photo. If yours does, the viewer shows the spot and can remove it.
It shows what the file declares: C2PA Content Credentials, Google AI labels, embedded prompts, and the visible Gemini watermark. Most AI images carry no label at all, so no result doesn't prove a person made it.
No. It's read entirely in your browser. We record only anonymous usage such as which kinds of data were found, never the values.
