The song your AI wrote (or you did), played by the band it describes: every instrument it names, coming in and out where it says, with the melody, the harmony, the grooves, and the lyrics. A written score plays exactly as written.
How it works
Copy the prompt, give it to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any AI with what your song is about. It writes it in Standard Rhythmic Notation: the band, sections, chords, melody, grooves, and lyrics. Or write one yourself from the template.
Paste it back (or drop the file) and it plays at once: the band it names, each section as full as it says, the melody and choir on top. Anything the AI got wrong is fixed and listed.
Play it, mute or change any part, fix notes in the piano roll. Download the song, the instrumental, each instrument as its own WAV, or MIDI with the lyrics in it.
Why use it
Roots reggae with nyabinghi and horn stabs, a worship ballad with cello and choir, salsa with a full percussion section: every instrument named is its own part. No preset decides it.
“Guitar enters”, “drop to bass and drums”, “everything fades except piano”: each section plays with exactly who it says.
A full score (every part written out, no lyrics needed) plays note for note: ties, triplets, chords, dynamics, drum grids, any time signature.
Each instrument on its own track and as its own WAV, the melody on channel 1, the lyrics in the MIDI: ready for a studio or a singer.
Standard Rhythmic Notation is plain text. The prompt, the template, the guide, and example songs download in one click, to use with any AI.
It opens in a piano-roll editor: mute or solo parts, change instruments and volumes, fix or move notes. Downloads use your changes.
Sheet Music Player reads your sheet, arranges it, and renders the audio in your browser: the instrument sounds (the GeneralUser GS SoundFont, played by the open-source SpessaSynth synthesizer) download once from this site. Your songs aren't uploaded. We count anonymous usage (how it was played and the download format) to keep the tool improving.

Press “Copy the prompt for your AI”, paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any AI, and fill in what your song is about. It writes the song in Standard Rhythmic Notation. Paste the answer here and it plays: the band, the melody, the choir, the lyrics.
A plain-text way to write a whole song: a header (style, key, tempo, time signature, instrumentation), sections with a note on who plays, chords bar by bar, notes like E4-q (E above middle C, a quarter note), drum and rhythm grids, lyrics under the notes. Lyrics are optional; the rhythm is the point. The guide in the kit explains every part.
Most tools squeeze every song into a few preset styles. Here the band is built from the song itself: its own instrumentation, its genre's groove, its own grooves where it writes them, and each section's note. Two songs only sound alike if they are alike.
Yes. Write every part out (Melody:, Piano:, Bass:, Strings:, drum grids) and choose “As written”: only what's on the page plays, exactly, with ties, triplets, dynamics, and any time signature. A sheet that writes out its instruments plays that way by default.
As many as it names. Each instrument is its own track; past 15 at once, instruments with the same sound share a MIDI channel, as keyboards require.
It's fixed and listed in plain words: a bar with too many beats is cut at the bar line, a typo becomes a rest, a missing chord keeps the one before. The song still plays.
Yes: under “With its band”, pick Afrobeats, Gospel praise, Worship, Roots reggae, Rumba, Bongo Flava, or a ballad. Or press “Another take” to hear the song's own band play it another way.
Yes. “Instrumental” leaves out the sung parts (the melody and the choir line); “Each instrument” gives every instrument as its own WAV.
Yes, with no sign-up and no limits. It runs in your browser, so there's no cost per song.
