What we record when you use our free tools

Our free tools (Photo Resizer, Metadata Remover, Metadata Viewer, Screenshot Redactor, Vocal Remover, Beat Maker, Sheet Music Player, MIDI Editor, AI Note Taker, Audio to Text, Markdown Editor, Text Transfer, Gemini Watermark Remover) do their work inside your web browser. Your files are never uploaded to us or anyone else. To see how the tools are used and where they fail, we record a short usage note each time a file is processed or text is sent. It's sent in the background and never slows down or blocks the tool.

What we record

Which tool you usede.g. Photo Resizer, Metadata Remover, AI Note Taker
The file's name, type, and sizee.g. “beach.jpg”, image/jpeg, 2.4 MB
What kinds of data were removede.g. “GPS location” or “Author & company names”, never the values themselves
What kinds of private details a screenshot containede.g. “Email address”, never the text itself
For transcription: whether it ran on your graphics card or processor, the language heard, and for live sessions which source you chosee.g. “webgpu:fr” or “live-mic”, never the audio or the words
For sending text: how long it was and how it movede.g. 120 bytes, “scanned”, never the text itself
For photo resizing: which destination you pickede.g. “Indian passport”, so we know which rules to keep current
For watermarks: size and strength of the markso we can tune detection
Whether it worked and how long it tookto find files that fail
Date and time
Your IP address and browserthe same details any web server receives

What we never see

  • Your files, or any copy of them
  • The contents of your files: no pixels, pages, audio, or text
  • Metadata values: no GPS coordinates, no camera serial numbers, no author names
  • The text in your screenshots, including anything the Screenshot Redactor hides
  • Your recordings, calls, transcripts, and notes: the speech model behind Audio to Text and AI Note Taker runs in your browser, and the notes are written on your device. The model itself downloads once, from this site
  • Your songs and the stems made from them: the Vocal Remover separates them on your device. Its models also download once, from this site
  • The text you send with Text Transfer. Short text lives only inside the link, after the “#”, which browsers never send to a server. Longer text and phone-to-computer text is encrypted on your device; we relay only the scrambled data, the key stays in your link, and the relay copy is deleted 10 minutes after the last change
  • Anything you did not drop into the tool

How long we keep it

Usage notes are deleted automatically after 180days. We use them only to improve these tools. We don't sell them or share them with advertisers.

These tools stand on excellent open-source work. Thank you to their authors.
